What is USS Eckerd and where did it come from?

USS is Eckerd College's Sophomore Success program.

Every 10 years, the College goes through an extensive accreditation process. Part of that process involves developing a Quality Enhancement Plan, or QEP. The College's current QEP is focused on Sophomore Success - helping our sophomores get better connected to the College and its resources, to each other, and to the local community.

Who is USS designed for? Am I allowed to participate?

Our sophomore success program is designed for:

  • students in their second-year of college, no matter what class standing they have

  • students beyond their second-year who still have Sophomore standing

How do I get involved?

Just show up! Check out the calendar of events and join us at as many events as you'd like! All programming has been designed with you in mind, and is focused on things that matter most to sophomore students.
